In the rural areas in developing countries,
there are few jobs and few chances to earn money, so people in these areas can’t
buy food. This is the cycle of poverty.
The last summit was held in 1996, and it
was estimated to be about 840 million people who were chronically hungry. The leaders
of the summit are planning to spend US $60 billion to reduce the incidence of
hungry.
Clean water and fresh food are concentrated
on the wealthy countries, so the poor countries can’t get adequate food and
water.
It is more serious problem than I thought. There
is a big difference between the rich countries and the poor countries and it is
not easy to reduce the huge difference, I thought…
I think we can live in rich country and eat foods enough. So I should do something to help people living in poor countries. For instance, choosing fair-trade goods and sending food aids!!
返信削除Poverty is still big global problem. Although on the other hand,in some developed countries, there are the problems of food waste. This is so ironical things ... We must solve that problem as soon as possible. And we have to study about that problem!
