I watched the
whole movie of Planet in this winter
vacation.
After watching the movie, I thought that I should reconsider my
eating habits.
To be honest, I thought at first that being vegetarian is a
little too extreme because I thought it would be necessary to eat also meat to
keep our health, but the scientists made me think what is right or really
necessary for us to protect the environment in the world.
Before watching this
movie, I thought that we can’t choose what is really good for us.
However, I
found that our current dietary habits leads to even further global warming and
increase the number of cancer patients as the scientists mentioned.
Considering
these things, vegetarian may be the best for us or the environment, I thought.
This
movie will teach you what we should really do now and I recommend you to try to
watch it.
I'm glad that you found the film persuasive. It was partially through reading books by some of the scientists featured in this film, especially Dr. T Colin Campbell (The China Study) and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn -- Bill Clinton's doctor) that I decided to become a vegetarian/ vegan myself. I came to realize that there was no compelling reason to eat animal products and MANY good reasons not to eat them: harm to the environment, inevitable cruelty to animals, damage to our bodies, and the impossibility of feeding everyone on the planet a meat-based diet. With conviction and proper knowledge old habits aren't that difficult to break. After twenty years of being a vegan I have no regrets at all and I'm so grateful to the guy who first introduced to this way of eating and the reasons for it. He's now working as an emergency room doctor in Washington, DC.
